To help you grade your records. Below is an example of how we rate our records.
- NEW – Sealed and has never been played.
- Mint (M): A record in ‘mint’ or M condition is considered to be perfect. It means that it is usually sealed and has never been played.
- Near Mint (NM): The record in ‘near mint’ or NM condition has been played no more than a few times. It appears glossy and has remained on a shelf between other vinyl.
- Excellent (E) or Very Good Plus (VG+): The record has been played, but there is no significant deterioration in sound quality. It may have some minor surface marks or scratches.
- Very Good (VG): The record has been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch.
- Good (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated. There may be distortion and mild scratches.
- Fair (F) or Poor (P): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise.
We do not buy any records that skip or damaged covers.
